Part Entrepreneur, Part Coach

Part Entrepreneur, Part Coach

After transitioning to living in Austin, TX I have taken time to really focus on my own professional development and have taken time to really intentionally focus on  where I want my business energy to go.

For many years I used to say to friends: "I wish Psychology and Business could get married!". It was such a joy to discover executive and business/leadership coaching 10 years ago and realize that they did indeed "get married".

In addition to launching my coaching business headquartered out of Texas, my husband and I are planning an eco-friendly, sustainable, conscious living retreat and wedding venue for a couple of years down the road. In preparation for the new businesses here I have had the pleasure of working with a few other Austin coaches around marketing and assessments.

It has been very enlightening to look at who I am from a few different angles. Depending on what part "entrepreneur" you are you may be able to relate to the thrill I have been experiencing at developing, planning, creating, and launching a new business. The flip side, for many of us entrepreneurs, is the carry through of the right brilliant exciting ideas. It has been so amazing to practice what I preach and have the guidance and support of some key coaches in this process.

It's a joy to offer accountability to my clients as a coach. I remember a day, years ago, when accountability seemed punitive to me. Now I know and value having someone who is holding up the bar of who I said I wanted to be and reminding me to keep going for it. Reminding me what being my best can look like. Someone who "holds the space" for me to grow in to.

Who have you trusted with holding the vision of your best you as you move forward?
